Location: Burwood House With No Steps is a leading provider of quality residential, employment and ancillary services to people with disabilities throughout NSW, ACT and Queensland. We are committed to innovation, continuous improvement and building strong relationships.

Group Homes are provided for people who are unable to live alone without support. People are supported by staff in a variety of ways depending on their individual needs and desires.

Community Living Volunteers are linked to a group home where they visit providing assistance to residents, and helping our staff to enhance service delivery. We are currently looking for volunteers to go out for lunch/dinner and to go for bus rides with our residents.

Essential Criteria:

You will need to be reliable and responsible; positive and open to learning; a good communicator; flexible; and able to take instruction. You will learn about the needs and interests of the people you support, receive onsite induction, instruction and supervision, feedback and ongoing support.

You may have a special skill to share with the residents (eg music, arts, sports etc), but this is not essential. If being part of a supportive team and demonstrating a positive attitude towards the promotion of supporting people with disabilities is for you then we strongly appreciate all applications.
