Work experience

For students interested in the disability sector, there's nothing like hands-on work experience.

Get hands-on experience

Aruma (formerly House with No Steps and The Tipping Foundation) is a disability service provider, but we’re also so much more. We’re the trusted partner of over 5000 people with a disability throughout the east coast of Australia.

If you want to be part of Aruma’s story, and gain valuable work experience, we offer a limited number of work experience placements for secondary school students interested in a career working with people with a disability.

These placements are available in six locations:

  • Metropolitan Sydney
  • Wollongong
  • Newcastle
  • Forbes
  • Alstonville
  • Burleigh Heads.
