Working with us

"I feel my passion lies in making a difference for the people I support. I find my role very rewarding and I am very proud to know I am helping them to achieve their goals." - Carmen, Support Worker

House with No Steps is a unique and rewarding place to work. Joining our team provides a range of great benefits.

Working with us

We have a workforce who are committed and capable. They have the resources, skills, and authority to translate our Vision and Values into action.

When our staff feel educated, motivated and inspired by their work, their passion and abilities as coaches naturally follow. That’s why we’re continually investing in our staff to enrich and transform our organisation and our approach. By working in partnership with communities, our staff have access to the knowledge and networks they need to be responsive and creative when it comes to planning and giving advice.

Healthy work life balance

We offer flexible work arrangements for staff including:

  • Flexible hours
  • Job share opportunities
  • Part time work
  • Paid parental leave

Training and development

We provide opportunities for ongoing training and professional development including courses through our own Education and Training business.

Career opportunities

Our diverse organisation means we provide career advancement opportunities for staff to progress in a wide variety of roles.

Get paid to earn a qualification

Our Traineeship program for Support Workers combines paid employment with accredited training. As a trainee, you will gain valuable hands on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification.

Employee benefits

As a charitable organisation, our staff benefit from some Fringe Benefit Tax exemptions through salary packaging, an entitlement by the Federal Government that allows part of your income to be a tax-free benefit.

Employees are also eligible to enjoy tax free dining and accommodation through applying for a meal and entertainment card.

Employee Assistance Program

We offer employees access to the Employee Assistance Program, a confidential and independent counselling and support service for employees and their immediate family members. This service can be used to address any concerns affecting work or home life.
