Appointed to the Board in March 2006 and appointed Chair in October 2010. Extensive record in public administration, including a period in charge of the Federal Government’s disability services programs. Dr Madden is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia. His awards include the ACROD President’s Service Award. Chair of the HWNS Nominations Committee and a member of the Audit, Remuneration and Client Outcomes & Standards Committees.

Appointed to the Board in February 2004. Twenty years experience as a senior executive in the health and aged care industries. Board member of Aged and Community Services NSW and ACT and member of the HWNS Remuneration and Nomination Committees.

Appointed to the Board in June 2006. Over twenty years senior executive experience. Involved for many years with organisations that provide services to people with a disability, both as a volunteer and parent. Board member of National Disability Services and member of the HWNS Nomination and Client Outcomes & Standards Committees.

J.F. DIDDAMS BCom, FCPA, FAICD

Appointed to the Board in October 2009. Over thirty years financial and management experience as CFO, CEO and/or director of both private and public listed companies. Principal of CPA firm that assists SME companies to raise capital and list on ASX. Chair of the HWNS Audit Committee.

P J FRIEDRICH JP, BBUS, MPC 

Appointed to the Board in October 2004. Professional activities in tax and accounting for small business with special interest in the private medical sector. Community interests include Coast Care and volunteer bush care in her local area. Her association with HWNS spans over 35 years. Chair of the HWNS Client Outcomes & Standards Committee.

G J THOMPSON. BEC (HONS), FAIM

Appointed to the Board in February 2004 and served as Chairman from 2007 to October 2010.Thirty years experience in the financial sector, where he held various senior positions with the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA). Member of the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees and chairman and director of various organisations.

D M TUCKERMAN OAM, LLB

Appointed to the Board in July 1991 and served as Vice President from 1997 to 2005. Formerly a practising solicitor, providing pro bono legal work for HWNS since 1964. Member of the service clubs organisation Lions Clubs International, of which he is a Past District Governor.
