Have fun and make friends with our recreational activities for teenagers
For teenagers with a disability, our recreational programs provide the perfect opportunity to make friends, see new places, try new things, and have fun!
Whether your child loves playing sport, seeing movies, or hanging out with friends, we are bound to have activities they’ll enjoy.
We can work with you to design a personalised program full of activities that teens will love, and will also suit you and your family.
There are so many activities to choose from...
Your child can get involved with all sorts of fun activities and excursions - there are plenty of ways we can help teenagers get out and about. Just a few fun ideas include:
- Movie nights
- Concerts and shows
- Sports and outdoor games
- Beach days
- Bush walks
- Arts and crafts
- Music groups
- Joining a local sports team or church group
For teenagers, youth groups are a great way to meet new friends and have new experiences.
The members of our youth groups meet at least once a month to enjoy a wide range of age-appropriate activities with the support of both Support Workers and volunteers.
We plan the activities from feed-back from our consumers - sometimes enjoying a BBQ and outdoor games, going to dinner and a movie, or building confidence doing an activity like indoor rock climbing.
Often, the members of our youth groups make lasting friendships, catching up with each other on the weekends.
For teens who want to spend a few days with other young people with disabilities exploring and having fun, our holiday camps could be just their thing.
Our camps could see your child taking part in a whole range of exciting activities from bush-walking and boating, to games and songs around the campfire. Our camps give teens an amazing opportunity to make friends and learn, no matter what activities are on the agenda.
And of course, with trained and experienced leaders taking care of our campers, you can relax knowing your child is in great hands.
