Services for people with a disability 

Our disability employment service assists people to secure a job in the open labour market through gaining work experience, further education, specialist training and ongoing support.

Our services provide: 

  • Ongoing support and assistance to maintain a job 
  • Employment assistance for people with a disability, injury or a medical condition
  • Assessment, intervention and employment solutions to help people find and maintain employment such as:
    • Drug and Alcohol counselling 
    • Vocational assessment 
    • Wage and employment support assessment
    • Pre vocational job search training including marketing and canvassing support
    • Workplace modifications and job redesigns 
    • Employer incentives

Services for employers

Our Disability Employment Service also offers employers a range of free services to assist in employing people with disability: 

  • professional recruitment advice, job matching and job design 
  • on-the-job or off-site support for employees and ongoing support for employees and employers 
  • training information and awareness activities for employers and staff
  • financial support and incentives such as wage subsidies, workplace modifications, assistive technology and training 
  • supported wage assessment if an individual is not able to work at the same productivity level as their co-workers
