A number of programs are in place to help link clients with the wider community:

Post School Program

Aims to assist young people with a disability to develop the skills they require to work toward their goals, increase their independence and participate actively in their community.


Day Programs and Active Linking Initiative (ALI)
HWNS operates six block funded day programs for adults living in the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Wyong and Gosford Local Government Areas. One of these day programs (ALI) is specifically for boarding house residents living in West Lake Macquarie.


Social Service Program
This program is aimed at retired employees enabling them to maintain friendships and participate in meaningful activities.
