House Idol 2011

The stars were shining brightly at Glen Street Theatre for House Idol 2011. HWNS Sydney region hosted the much anticipated annual event on 30th September, where supported employees and clients from all regions entered to show off their many talents.

The judges really did have their work cut out.

This year we had a couple of original compositions, poetry and interpretive dance, air guitar like never seen before, group performances in spectacular costumes and loads of terrific singing.

Mayor of Warringah, Michael Regan, attended yet again to show his support, cheer on the participants and present the prizes.

Congratulations to the winners:

First Place: Peter Flynn, singing Bow River

Second Place: Brook Crowley, singing his original composition and tribute the Jessica Watson Queen Of The Seven Seas

Third Place: Davina Wilson, dance to music overlaid with a poem she wrote for her mother

Runners Up: Susan Pilkington, singing I believe I can Fly

Neil Doland, singing Hallelujah

Nick Lewis, singing Two Strong Hearts

Warringah Mayor’s Encouragement Award: Jenny Moss, singing When You’re Happy And You Know It

Thanks so much to Glen Street Theatre, yet again, for donating their performance space. It really does make the event the spectacular that it is! And thank you to the Mayor of Warringah for his donation which helps us with the prizes.
