House With No Steps, a leading community service provider in Queensland and New South Wales, is establishing specialist training & contract employment services to be based at Logan, Queensland.

The aim of these services is to provide vocational training leading to positive employment outcomes for job seekers. The training service will support people to obtain qualifications relevant to community service industries and the contract employment service will provide qualified trainees with sub-contract work opportunities in the Community Services sector.

We are seeking an energetic Student Placement Coordinator with a “can do” attitude to assist with sourcing employers and support students to successfully complete work placements.

TRAINING COORDINATOR

(Part-time/3 days) until June 30 2011 with a view to extending
The House With No Steps, a leading community service provider in Queensland and New South Wales has recently commenced a specialist training centre at Logan.
We have commenced accredited training in disability, home and community care with courses in child care, aged care and mental health to follow. We are looking for a Training Coordinator to coordinate all RTO requirements and oversee, support and assist the trainers , support staff and students within the training program.

Duties will include scheduling of all training programs to meet program requirements, staff and student selection and recruitment; effective and efficient staff rostering and student timetabling,, ensuring quality and timeliness of training resources;, liaising with RTO staff based in Sydney; liaising with external agencies and resolving any day to day training matters.

Successful applicants will possess:

Demonstrated coordination/management experience in a Registered Training environment
Training qualifications
Recent vocational experience in the community/health/education sectors
Strong RTO administrative and reporting knowledge
A good understanding of AQTF requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office software
