Our recreation programs provide support to individuals, enabling them to access a range of recreational and social activities in the community. We have different services available for different age groups, from school holiday camps to adult recreation and holiday options.

 
Weekend, evening and holiday programs

Teenage Recreation Group

In Sydney, our Teenage Recreation Group run age appropriate recreation and leisure activities for teenagers aged 13–18yrs with a disability during the school term.

A mix of community access and centre-based activities provides the opportunity to spend time with people your own age and create links with local communities. Gain opportunities to meet new people, increase independence, experience new diverse activities and have fun!

Leisure links

In Sydney and Western NSW, this is a weekend and evening program for people with a disability aged between 15-45yrs. It provides the opportunity to spend time with peers through creative, recreation and leisure activities.

Activities may include art, drama, fitness programs, dance, team sports and holiday camps which are invaluable in helping to improve communication skills and expand friendships.

Live It Up

Based in Sydney, this leisure support program offers a wide range of leisure activities and holidays for people with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. Activities include live concerts, theme parks, horse riding, bike riding, BBQs and many more.

Live It Up also organises holidays and weekends away on a user pays basis. Past destinations have included New Zealand, Canada, and the Gold Coast.

 
School Holiday Programs

Vacation Care

Our Vacation Care service offers diverse recreational options for school students in Sydney. Run during school holiday periods, there’s a mixture of centre-based activities including arts, crafts, sports and games and community excursions to a range of venues around Sydney.

S.H.E.D- School Holiday Entertainment Days

This school holiday activity program is available to teenagers aged 13-18yrs who attend a special education unit or school in the Logan QLD and surrounding areas. Participants also need to be registered with Disability Services Queensland.

Programs will be centre based as well as in the community. Examples of activities include bowling, swimming, arts and crafts as well as short retreat style camping holidays for an extra cost.
