HWNS is a very good environment to work in; the staff are fantastic! Two staff were employees and worked their way up. Like every workplace you have ups and downs but everyday is an adventure. I wake up every morning excited about coming to work at HWNS. I learn different things each day. I am currently on the employee committee, that's how the employees have confidence in me to represent them and to be their speaker. My goal in life is too get my car licence and forklift licence. My role models are fellow employees so I try to encourage the lower skilled employees with their work, so we can get the jobs done. I've had the best time at HWNS.  - Craig Hambling

For the past 3 years of my job as a HWNS employee, I have learned various machines, how to operate and maintain them. I have developed skills and experiences, met new workers and more opportunities. I have confidence in me, complete control, more reliable and improved on communicating. Our manager told us that if we want to get our job done, we have to step up our skills as an employee, and we did. I believe that I have to keep on working on my skills to become better at my self to go further than ever before and surpass other employees. I may be able to work for twenty years time or maybe not, but time will tell. - William Fello

I have learnt in life that every one has a purpose and I found mine. and I haven't regretted a single day since I have started working here and now my life has some meaning that is why I like coming to work here everyday. My family is very proud of me, so they tell me everyday. and that put a smile on my face. So there is no more reason to be feeling sad. Working here I feel I can work without stress. I have friendship, laughter, respect and quite easy to work with disabled people. I really think in our small factory the higher skilled look after the lower skilled, we show them how to get the product out quickly and presentable. The staff are the best I've worked with; they are helpful and will assist in any way. I feel as though I can come to work and actually enjoy it as I get the respect from staff and all who work here. My self esteem has gone through the roof, I have learnt so much at Minchinbury and there's no pressure. We are proud of our site as we keep it clean and tidy. I've never looked back.  - Barb Hogan
