HWNS offers a limited number of work experience placements for secondary school students who are interested in a career working with people with a disability.
These placements are available in our 6 regional offices including Metropolitan Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle, Forbes and Alstonville in NSW, and Burleigh Heads in Queensland.

Tertiary Student Placement Program
For students studying at TAFE or University, we offer limited number of spots in our Student Placement Program. Such placements may be available for the following areas of study:
- Disability studies
- Nursing medicine
- Social work
- Health sciences including occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech pathology
- Other relevant areas of study
Opportunities may also be available for part-time and casual work, internships and traineeships.
