Work Experience
HWNS has limited places available to provide work experience for secondary school students who may be interested in a career in working with people with a disability. HWNS has regional offices in Northern and Southern Metropolitan Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle, Forbes and Alstonville in NSW, and at Burleigh Heads in Queensland.

Tertiary Student Placement Program
Students at TAFE or University studying in the following areas may apply to undertake a student placement with HWNS:
  • Disability Studies
  • Nursing
  • Medicine
  • Social Work
  • Health Sciences including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech Pathology
  • Other relevant areas of study

The availability of student placements may be limited by resources.

Opportunities may also be available for part-time and casual work, and internships and traineeships.
