My name is Jolene, and I started my career as a House with No Steps Support Worker 8 years ago.
Graduating with a degree in Bachelor’s of Arts from the University of Mumbai, India majoring in Sociology and Psychology, I commenced my career in Disability services as a House with No Steps Support Worker 8 years ago.
With the idea of using my education to further the rights of people with disabilities and their families, at 27, I am one of the youngest Support Managers in our Sydney region.
House with No Steps has given me great opportunity to grow, learn, inspire, support, and further my career within the organisation, along with the opportunity to study further and enhance my academic portfolio.
Outside work, I have an opportunity to relax. I love cooking and experimenting with different cuisines. I have a wide group of friends and a large family with whom I enjoy spending time with. I love travelling, and India is my favourite destination because of the cultural diversity, food, and sights.
My husband Dean and I share our Sydney home with our dog Buzz. Buzz too is a frequent visitor to many of the group homes I support and has his own admirers.
