Kerrie and Gary know first-hand the incredible difference our supporters make. So much so, they have decided to become benefactors and members of Partners in Dignity by leaving a gift in their Will.

“Our daughter Allison (Al) forgot to breathe while in transit to being bathed after being born… Cerebral Palsy was never mentioned at the time, but is now the recognised medical condition,” Mum Kerrie explained.

Kerry and Gary’s daughter recently moved to an individual living unit for women (Tamworth Villas). Since moving there, Al has adapted well to her new home and everyone is delighted with this really positive step in her life.

This has been achieved by Al’s parents exposing her to the Villas from the beginning when it was empty, to seeing the Villa furnished and complete as near as possible to her original home environment.

It is this incredible impact House with No Steps (now Aruma) has had on Al’s well-being, which has prompted her parents to think about what impact they too can make.

“When Al leaves this world the intention behind this Bequest in our Will is that other children and young adults can benefit from this family legacy, through the services offered by House with No Steps (now Aruma) .”

A gift in your Will, no matter how big or small will allow us to continue with our mission of creating opportunities for people with a disability to make the most of their abilities.
